Interactive children’s portal – For the German Bundestag

JUNGVORNWEG AND PORTRINO DEVELOP ONLINE OFFER FOR CHILDREN

Kunden Profil

The interactive children’s portal of the German Bundestag (Lower House of the German Parliament) has been online since June 2016 with new content and visuals.

The website has a fresh, child-friendly design, with new functions, videos, games and many discovery opportunities. For the first time, the site is optimized for use on tablets and smartphones. The relaunch created a separate area for educators. It contains materials for political education work at primary schools.

„The site should provide children with fun and high-quality changing contents. That’s our first goal. For this reason, we will focus even more on multi-media formats suitable for children in the future.“

Gunter Leinhoß, Publishing Director of jungvornweg

“We have implemented a self-explanatory, intuitive navigation especially for young users. It shapes the website and creates playful access to the content in many places.”

Ralf Thormann, Founder of portrino

Overall, we worked together with jungvornweg for ten months for the German Bundestag on the “Kuppelkucker“ children’s portal and have since taken over the editorial support of the online offering. This includes all areas: child-friendly addressing and playful content communication, new online formats and, last but not least, dialogue with young users.

Kuppelkucker is the online service of the German Bundestag for children between the ages of five and eleven. It aims to provide children with first-hand knowledge of politics and democratic principles in a playful way, and to present the tasks and working methods of the German Bundestag.
